Cubs Make Historic Visit to White House Before, Well, You Know (Full Video & Photos)
In case you missed all the revelry – like Evan interviewing Jason McLeod, Rob Zastryzny and Jeimer Candelario – at Cubs Convention this weekend, the Chicago Cubs are still World Series champions. In fact, somewhere out there are 20 as-yet-unknown lucky fans that are going to be able to personally hand the Cubs their World Series rings prior to the second home game of 2017 at Wrigley Field.
As if all the hubbub surrounding swiping the World Series wasn’t already incredible enough, the Cubs got the chance to show off that beautiful trophy to the leader of the free world, President Barack Obama.
I know Mr @BarackObama is a big WitheSox fan, but i hope he’s ready for the Cubbies. ???? @Cubs #JB9

This is just one of the many perks of being the best team in baseball. The Cubs managed to sneak into the White House to meet with the President who was in office when they shattered history, along with the hopes and dreams of Indians’ fans, just before he hands over the keys to that other guy this Friday. We’re trying hard to stay apolitical here at Cubs Insider, can’t you tell?
With this visit and Cubs Convention behind them, you can bet the Cubs will turn their full attention to the upcoming season and their defense of the World Series title. In the meantime, here is the full video along with a few photos of the Cubs’ White House visit.

I find it quite entertaining that David Ross just stumbled into Jimmy Buffett in the White House. Do you think he’s lived there the past four years and we’re just finding this out now?
