Chicago Cubs Lineup: Szczur, Almora, and Jay Across Outfield as Schwarber and Heyward Rest
If you thought things would be boring this season because the Cubs were just going to run away with the National League Central, well, think again. Okay, I mean it is only mid-April, but the Cubs come into the game today against the Brew Crew trailing the Reds by two full games. Bet you didn’t see that coming, did you?
If the Cubs can win today they’ll capture their fourth series win out of the first five series this year. They’ll be looking to get the win with Kyle Schwarber and Jason Heyward on the bench.
Matt Szczur, who has only four plate appearances so far this season, and Jon Jay will be anchoring the corners of the outfield in place of War Bear and J-Hey. Raise your hand if you knew that Jon Jay is slashing .389/.476/.500 thus far.
Game on!
