Kris Bryant’s Shoulder ‘Not Fully Healed,’ Will Test Again on Friday
Kris Bryant was scheduled to be activated from the DL just in time for Friday’s game against the hot-hitting Cincinnati Reds. But after still feeling discomfort in his ailing shoulder while swinging on Tuesday, the Cubs are unsure of when he will return.
Kris Bryant basically day to day. Unsure about Friday activation. He’s better but not fully healed.

Bryant does feel a little better, but he’s understandably frustrated at the slow healing process, as Joe Maddon told the local Chicago media prior to Wednesday’s game.
Maddon, on Bryant’s shoulder injury: “I don’t think it’s long-term debilitating.” Admits he’s frustrated, today serves as maintenance day, will re-test on Friday.

So at this point, it’s more of a wait-and-see game. I’m sure we’ll hear more on Friday about a potential return date after Bryant tests the shoulder again, but when he’ll grace us with his presence on the field is less clear than it was a few days ago.
