Javy Báez Wins National League Silver Slugger Award
While he may not have won the Gold Glove Award, Javy Baez will receive some hardware for his accomplishments at the plate in 2018.
Today, El Mago won the National League Silver Slugger Award at second base. It is the first such honor for Javy in his career. Báez put up big numbers in 2018, slashing .290/.326/.554 with a .366 wOBA and 136 wRC+. He also hit 34 home runs and led the entire NL in RBI with 111.
