Update: David Bote Hopes to Resume Baseball Activities Tuesday After HBP Scare
Some great news out of Cubs camp Monday afternoon as we got an update on David Bote, who left Sunday’s game after being hit in the helmet by a Madison Bumgarner pitch.
Maddon said Bote seems fine but will remain under evaluation and will be examined by Dr. Stephen Adams

Bote underwent initial testing Sunday afternoon with the Giants doctors that showed no signs for concern, but the Cubs wanted to keep a close eye on him. The versatile second-year man should be able to get back to baseball activities tomorrow after being given the all-clear by Dr. Stephen Adams Monday morning. Baseball aside, we’re just glad Bote is okay!
