Watch: Daniel Descalso Launches First Home Run as a Cub

As I type this, I like to hope that this Descalso home run will be the start of an amazing rally, but that remains to be seen. Regardless, Daniel Descalso has started his Cubs career on fire at the plate (7 for 13), and he added his first homer as a Cub Friday night in Milwaukee to bring the Cubs within five runs.

Daniel Descalso is now slashing .538/.571/.846 with 4 RBI. This is only his 3rd start of the season.
