Seiya Suzuki Leaves Game with Wrist Discomfort
Seiya Suzuki was removed from Saturday’s game due to a wrist injury, which he sustained during the recent series in Sacramento. Suzuki has been somewhat injury-prone in his short major-league career, with oblique issues often being the culprit. While it’s not the oblique this time, the wrist is still a crucial muscle group when it comes to offensive performance.
Suzuki has once again gotten off to a hot start this season, posting a 170 wRC+ and a .956 OPS over 16 games. The severity of the injury remains unknown, but losing Suzuki for the challenging month of April would be far from ideal.
