Seiya Suzuki Named NL Player of the Week
Seiya Suzuki has been named the National League Player of the Week, his first such honor in 2025.
Over the last 7 days, Seiya led @mlb in batting average, slugging percentage, and OPS. 💪

Suzuki is having the best start to the season of his career, posting a 150 wRC+ through 50 games. He’s already hit 14 home runs and enters Tuesday’s action with 49 RBIs, most in MLB.
The highlight of Suzuki’s week was a three-run home run off of Luis Mey, which ended up winning the ballgame on Sunday.

Suzuki’s breakout is coming at a great time, as pairing him with Pete Crow-Armstrong and Kyle Tucker (who won the Player of the Week in April) has helped the Cubs continue to dismantle opposing pitching.
