Cubs Eliminated in Low-Scoring NLDS Game 5 Against Brewers

That’s a wrap, folks. The Chicago Cubs have officially been eliminated from postseason contention. After falling into a 0-2 series hole to the Milwaukee Brewers, they battled back and sent the series back to American Family Field for a winner-take-all Game 5.

After Drew Pomeranz allowed a home run in the bottom of the first inning, Seiya Suzuki immediately struck back and tied the game with a solo blast of his own.

The Cubs threatened in the sixth inning, but were unable to score any runs after Suzuki’s blast. The Brewers showed off some power in the series and continued that trend with three home runs on Saturday night.

We’ll have more analysis tomorrow, but don’t forget all of the fun moments this season gave us.
